Patrick Stump (born Patrick Martin Stumph on April 27, 1984 in Glenview, Illinois, where he has lived all his life), is an American musician, composer and producer. Most notably, he is the primary composer, lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and occasional pianist of Fall Out Boy, an American band from Chicago, Illinois. He also has begun producing bands as of late such as Gym Class Heroes, among others. He is son to an American Folk singer and brother to an accomplished violinist.. Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz III (born June 5, 1979) is the bassist, back-up vocalist, and primary lyricist of Chicago-based band Fall Out Boy, as well as an entrepreneur. Wentz was primarily involved in the Chicago hardcore punk scene and was in several bands in the late 1990s. These included First Born, Extinction, Arma Angelus (alongside Tim McIlrath, frontman of Rise Against), Yellow Road Priest, and Racetraitor. He and Arma Angelus’ bassist Joe Trohman founded the pop-punk band Fall Out Boy after Trohman introduced Pete to a musical acquaintance, Patrick Stump. Andy Hurley agreed to drum part-time, but only joined the band full-time later.

Joseph Mark Trohman (born September 1, 1984) is the lead guitarist of the Chicago-based band Fall Out Boy. Joe is well-recognized for his energetic live performances and his signature spin move (AKA Trohmania). In 2001, Trohman formed the band Fall Out Boy along with close friend Pete Wentz. Each had been active in the Chicago hardcore scene and Joe had filled in as a bassist during a tour with Wentz’ band Arma Angelus. Joe met Patrick Stump in a Borders Bookstore,[1] and after bonding over a mutual interest in the band Neurosis, he convinced Stump to audition for the band.[2]. Two other Chicago musicians were recruited; T.J. Raccine on guitar and a drummer simply credited as Mike. These two only participated for a very short time.
